Ireland is nothing less than absolutely amazing. Yes, buying groceries and adjusting to GMT time has been challenging, but oh. my. god. Between hilarious cab rides, guinness rounds at the pub, a new kind of ketchup, and dyson hand dryers, I've only just started to realize what the next few months are going to be like. ADVENTURE.
Orientation starts in a few days, and already the amount of information seems a little overwhelming. It's one thing to go to a brand new school as a freshman, and sort of feel your way around blindly... it's another to do it in a brand new country with crazy currency conversions and a culture so different to me that I actually have to ask the trivial questions like "where do I take the garbage out?" and "how do I mail a postcard?".
ell, the sunshine is whittling away the longer I sit here typing, and while the city of Limerick and the Cliffs of Mohr aren't going anywhere anytime soon, it's about time I get out there and start living every Irish moment I've got!
